Suggest Treatment For Extreme Depression And Crying Spells After Having A Broken Relationship

My 23-year marriage to a verbally and emotionally abusive man whom I loved very much (we have a 22 yr.old daughter together) has come to an abrupt halt. Everyone says I should be glad I can start over . I am experiencing debilitating bouts of indescribable sadness and crying spells. I am 62. I want to see no one. I feel things are so bad in my emotions, that I am physically ill from this. There seems to be no end to the grief. It feels overwhelming. What can I do? This is overpowering in its intensity. jill
