General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual activity.
Aerobic exercise during midlife is effective for preventing ED.
Behavioral therapy in the form of practicing 'pause and squeeze' technique regularly has benefited about 80% of the people. You can use medications in conjunction with behavioral therapy too. These drugs include tadalafil or vardenafil.
Over a period of few months, you should be able to come out of your problem.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
