Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi im 18 yrs old, and im suffering from ed. Ive been with my girlfdriend for 3 yrs and have never had problems with it before. I have been working out and taking a new pre workout and ever since ive had problems with this. I dont know if thats whats causing it, or what else it could be?
ED is commonly related to blood pressure, blood circulation, diabetes, injuries to spinal cord, being overweight, etc. You are suggested to lose weight if obese, quit smoking, alcohol or addictions if any. Do physical exercises and work out your relationship issues. Control you blood glucose level. Diabetes damages nerves and blood vessels.
Your triglyceride and cholesterol levels should be normal. Get lipid function tests done. Though medications like Sildenafil (Viagra) may help but you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP / urologist. Get investigations done, get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
