Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

I would like to say that this frequency of seizures is not a low one.
So I would like to know the name of the drug he is taking and its dose. It is also important for me to know for how many years has he been taking the drug and if it has changed anything in his seizure frequency.

In my opinion the drug he is taking is not very effective. So I would try to raise the dose or switch into another anti-epileptic drug.

Another issue to consider would be a brain MRI , which would be necessary in this case to find out if there is any brain lesion that is causing this lesions. If seizures are caused by a brain lesion, neurosurgery may be helpful to decrease the seizures frequency.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
