Suggest Treatment For Epididymitis Despite Medication

I have had testicular pain for a few months been on 2 courses of antibiotics one of which was trimethoprim which was for 10 days. My doctor thinks that I have epididymitis but the antibiotics has not got rid of the pain. I have also have some pain down the front and back of my thigh from time to time. Ialso had a clear testicular ultrasound. Do you think that this is epididymitis?

Hi,

There are many reasons for eipdidymitis right from STI, UTI, tuberculisis, filariasis and others. You have find the exact etiology either by confirmation by history, culture and other investigations or ruling out other causes. The treatment has to be planned accordingly and may need a prolonged course.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
