Suggest Treatment For Enlarged And Inflamed Spleen And Liver

I m having a problem with my spleen and my liver, they are both enlarged and inflamed and he thinks I may have a clot in one of my arteries, so my GI doctor scheduled at colonoscopy and an upper GI procedure this Thursday. For two days I ve been running fever and about twenty min ago I threw up outside and it was a dark pink like color, but not blood color. Should I be worried?

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hi,

From the history you have given I am suspecting that you are having portal hypertension with hematemesis (blood in vomiting). You need to get done liver function tests along with viral markers and ultrasound.

Upper GI endoscopy needed to rule out varices. As already your gastroenterologist suggested, you can go ahead with those tests. Treatment options available for the above mentioned condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
