Suggest Treatment For Elevated Blood Sugar Levels

Im 43 yrs old and my blood sugar level rises to maximum fasting 153 & PP 201 on last yr. Now, it is F-108 & PP-138 and HbA1c - 7.2. May I take medicine ? I walk 4-5 km /day now. I feel very tired in the evening after my work, Any medicine/vitamin u prescribe ?

Hello and thanks for your question.
You have diabetes. A hemoglobin A1c over 6.5 is one of the diagnostic criteria for diabetes.
I would suggest that you take metformin prescribed by your doctor. Your exercise is good.
Working on a low carbohydrate diet cutting down on sweets, breads, rice, pasta and potatoes would be good.
You need an eye exam every 1-2 years and education about taking care of yourself with diabetes.
