My daughter has eczema but however she s had a flare up which I thought was nothing out of the usual until the medication that was prescribed which usually makes the outbreaks go away within a day or so hasn t worked it seems that the bloches are getting worse and spreading.
Hi. As per your case history of eczema, my treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily along with a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the spots. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, antibiotics and hydroxyzine given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
