Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain After Ruptured Ear Drum

I have an extremely painful earache I was told I have ruptured my eardrum 1 month and a half after perforating it! I can t sleep I can t eat or drink without it killing and now I can t even move my head without a rush a pain! What can I do except take paracetamol and ibuprofen?

Thanks for your query.

Perforation with ear discharge, requires oral antibiotic course and antibiotic ear drops.

You can continue tab. brufen as a pain killer. By Keeping ear dry and free from infection (correct nose or sinus infections), your perforation will heal on its own with in 2-3 months.

Do not worry. it takes time to resolve, have a consultation from an ent surgeon for appropriate antibiotic course.
