Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection

I have an ear infection and my doc prescribed locorten vioform. I have been using it for 3 days and my ears feel more blocked now than they did before. I am also taking a course of amoxicillin and strong pain killers when I need them. I don t know if the ear drops are helping because it feels like they re making it worse. Should I stop using them?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
No ear drops really help unless they are for specific infection like a fungus or so. So stop using the ear drops.
Get an examination done by an ENT Surgeon to get the proper diagnosis so that the conditions is known, whether it is fluid inside the ear-drum or a fungus clogging the drum and not allowing the movement to give you blocked ear.
If there is fluid in the eardrum, He may prescribe you decongestant and other supportive medicines. You should take the anti-inflammatory medicines round the clock that is 3 times in a day.
Continue Amoxicillin.
Do not blow the nose, take warm food and water.
