Suggest Treatment For Dryness On Finger

Hi, I have one finger that is dry and cracked at the tip. On that same finger, I accidentally peeled off the top layer of nail and cuticle, leaving my nail patchy and the nail long (because of no cuticle). I have two questions. First, will my cuticle grow back and how long? Second, my finger tip has a few strange yellowish dots and the skin is dry and cracked in some areas. It s been like this for a few months. This only happens on one finger, so I was wondering if this is related to my nail and how I could fix it? I have tried moisturizing, which did not help. Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection of the the nail.
I suggest using an antifungal cream for local applications such las Clotrimazole cream.
I also suggest to maintain good hygiene.
I recommend using cotton socks and breathable shoes.p

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
