Suggest Treatment For Dry Patches On Cheeks And Inner Lining Of Lips

I have dry patches on my cheeks and on the inner lining of my lips. What could this be? I do not have sores or pain. There are no white lines or dots. It s just extremely dry for some reason. I had mild tingling in my lips earlier today that lasted only a couple of minute but that s it.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry patches on cheeks and inner lining of lips which is mainly due to dehydration and could be due to fungal infection.

I would suggest you

- Drink plenty of water.
- Take diet rich in multivitamins.
- Do rinses with oral Nystatin suspensions
- Take probiotics in diet and avoid sharp spicy food
- Apply lip balm on frequent basis

If symptoms keep on persisting visit dermatologist once and get t examine completely, and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
