Suggest Treatment For Dry Lips And Swollen Tonsils

Hi, about 2 weeks ago I went to my doctor because both of my lips and lip corners were crusted and and I could hardly open them without it hurting and she said it was the herpes simplex virus and prescribed me Acyclovir. I also went to my dermatologist and she prescribed me Mupirocin and Desonide ointments, which I think is what helped it. It is now coming back slowly and my tonsils are red and swollen, also my tongue has a yellow tint to it now. Any idea what it could be?

Hi. You have tonsillitis. Take an oral antibiotic like cephalexin. Gargle with hot water and hexidine mouth wash. It should show improvement in 48 hours. Your lip is already improving. You may apply Honey at night. Hope it helps.
