Suggest Treatment For Dry Hacking Cough

HI, I HAVE HAD THIS DRY HACKING COUGH FOR OVER A YEAR AND CAN T GET RID OF IT. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL DOCTORS THAT TOOK X-RAYS BUT THEY ALL COME BACK NORMAL. SOME TIMES WHEN I COUGH IT IS WAY DOWN DEEP, I ALMOST LOSE MY BREATH, I GET TO BREATHING HARD AND I CAN TASTE COPPER AT TIMES WHEN I COUGH. I AM AT MY WITS END TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS COULD BE. I DON T SMOKE, DRINK OR DO STREET DRUGS. CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY IDEA AS TO WHAT THIS COULD BE? THE DOCTORS THAT I HAVE SEEN ARE LOCAL YOCALS. THANK YOU FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME.

It may be due to allergy or gastro-esophageal reflex or cough variant of bronchial asthma or tropical eosinophilia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use water vapor inhalation and do salt water gargling thrice a day for five day's. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
