Hello,

The dizziness with the room spinning is called vertigo.

Most commonly it is related to the inner ear. It can also be related to an acute infection such as cough/cold or sinusitis. This may be case for you since you also have a fever.

The most common inner ear causes are- BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), Meniere's disease, and vestibular neuronitis. None of these are life threatening, just difficult to handle as they occur.

You should consider seeing your doctor for assessment to determine the cause for you. Treatment varies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
