Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And High Blood Pressure

I have been severely dizzy and blacked out completely and fell flat on my face and broke my nose. I had always taken medicine for high blood pressure, but since this has been happening I take my bp regularly and it s always between 98 to 146 on top. Could it be that I don t need to take those meds anymore? I have an appt. with my cardiologist this week.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you might be facing drops in blood pressure (BP) due to medications you are currently taking.

I highly recommend to monitor your BP and record the results for reference (should show to your cardiologist).

Plus, should monitor your blood sugar levels, record the results for reference.

Try to keep well hydrated. Avoid moving the head or your body too fast to avoid immediate oscillations (spikes or drops) in BP.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
