Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And High BP

I am a 75 year old type one diabetic. I have been taking Metoprolol 47.5MG CR two daily for some years. Around two years ago my doctor prescribed Cilazapril one 0.5MG tablet daily; a fortnight ago my doctor increased the dosage to two tablets daily. I have impaired kidney function. I had high blood pressure from an early age and was not treated until about 12 years ago when I changed doctor. This morning I was in bed awake when I suffered serious dizziness which lasted about a minute. All day I have felt light-headed. I plan to speak with my doctor on Monday.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and high BP . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like side effects of blood pressure medicine , ear infection , signs of heart failure or diabetic condition . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe frusamide , aspirin , may alter the bloos pressure medicines or prescribe substitute . Doctor may also refer your to endocrinologist for diabetes or ENT specialist for ear condition .
