Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had five (5) episode of diverticulitis this year. One in Feb., two in March and one in April. I was visiting Florida at the time, except for the one in April, the other three I treated on my own. The one in April was more problematic, so I went to the doctor and was put on an antibiotic. It just happened again this pass weekend and I was hospitalized. I believe it put me into A-fib ( the doctor at the hospital thought that as well) and didn t reach normal sinus rhythm for two days. I think it is time to talk with a colorectal doctor about possibly removing that part of the colon? What are your thoughts on that?
