Suggest Treatment For Difficulty Sleeping

Hi, I seem to have broken sleep for a long time. Say if I fall asleep or go to bed around 22, then I d wake up naturally around 3 am or 4 am,even earlier. It s rather difficult for me to have a 7-hour sleep, but sometimes if I was super tired, I could sleep for ten hours What should I do about the broken sleep? Sometimes after I wake up, I can t go back to sleep, or it takes an hour or two Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Excess stress, less work in daytime etc might lead less sleep....

Try to avoid stressful situations in daytime and avoid sedentary life style

You can do daily exercise for stress relief and for getting good sleep

Fix your time of sleeping at 10 or 11 pm...

Avoid late night TV watching and phone calls

Alcohol avoided if habit...

Just now no need for taking any medication...

If problem continues than consult psychiatrist for examination and if he needs than zolpidem like drug might prescribed

Take care
