Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea , Vomiting And Stomach Flu
Hello, I have had diarrhea for a week now. Started as a stomach bug last Friday with vomiting. I have had over 15 bowel movements in the past 24 hours. It is pure liquid. I am also belching a very weird taste and it smells like feces. No cramping or fever. I am worried however because of so much diarrhea and immodium has done nothing.
You should be immediately monitored for vitals signs like pulse, blood pressure etc.
You can be given plenty of water with lemon juice (added salt),coconut water or WHO oral rehydration solution.
The important thing is to combat vomiting and for which you would require antiemetic drugs (mostly injectables or oral) with antibiotics (norfloxacin with antiprotozoals like ornidazole preferred) with other water and electrolyte fluids.
So,it would be advisable that if you consult to physician for all routine blood investigation and proper treatment.
Home treatment might help but you actually requires complete course of treatment as I explained.
Thanks and Regards,
