Thank you for the query.
As per the history, you are a 23yrs old male, detected with Diabetes 3 months back (presently uncontrolled). You have not mentioned whether you are already on any medication regime or not. I would like to know your HbAic levels also and whether you have any other comorbidities like hypertension, obesity etc.
Since, your sugar levels are presently between 340-380 mg%, you definitely need to start on medications (if not already started). The type of medication can be decided by your treating physician after assessing you.
Oral anti-diabetic agents (single drug/multi drug regimen may be started intially. Drugs like metformin, sulfonylurea (glimeperide, gliclazide), DPPIV inhibitors (Vildagliptin, Linagliptin), Alpha glucosidase inhibitors (acarbose, voglibose) and Pioglitazone, are commonly used, and can be prescribed to you in various combinations, as per the sugar control and tolerability. In case oral drugs are not sufficient to control you sugar, Insulin may need to be started. However, some physicians prefer starting with Insulin, and on achieving control, step down to oral drugs.
Dietary modifications are needed. Avoid refined carbohydrates (fast food), aerated drinks, saturated fat and canned/tinned juices. Avoid consumtion of rice based diet. High fibres in diet is advised. A regular exercise regimen is needed (you BMI should be preferably below 25 kg/m2). Simple walking also helps to reduce sugar level. Obesity can aggravate Diabetes. If you are smoker, you must quit as soon as possible.
You need to visit your physician to start on a drug regimen, to avoid any complication associated with high blood sugar. I have written out the treatment options, but to start a drug over the internet, is not desirable.
Hope this helps you out
