Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello Welcome to HCM

She got married in 2000 and developed depressive symptoms immediately after marriage. Currently she has problems like she scolds family members badly, she use foul language. She is refusing to take tablets. Though other symptoms are also needed to make diagnosis but as per my opinion she is having Bipolar Disorder with mania or mixed picture. She is using foul language, scolds family members etc further confirm diagnosis. I would advise you to consult her psychiatrist again for reevaluation.

As currently she is showing aggressive behaviour then there is need to give her medicine which calms her. Medicines like low dose antipsychotics as Olanzapine, Risperidone, Qutiapine will help to decrease her aggressive symptoms. Medicines like Sodium valproate will help to improve her mood symptoms. Give her proper support at home she will improve.

Hope this helps you, thanks
