Suggest Treatment For Damaged Muscles At Back After A Fall

yes, my 86father fell and laid on his back for 8 hours before we found him. Doctor's said that mucles were damaged because of enzymes released after the cell breaks open and then enzymes are released into the blood from laying so long. What is this called?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It is called as rhabdomyolysis.
2. Protein diet with rest is essential. He should avoid further exertion, otherwise he might get muscle tears.
3. Renal functions needs to be evaluated to avoid renal failure secondary to rhabdomyolysis which will clog the kidney.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
