Suggest Treatment For Cysts In Ovary

Hi, I have two cysts in my ovary about 2.5cms and my endometrial layer is bulky at 16mm. My doctor wanted to wait for a month before taking any action. Even after a month the results are same. What should be done here? Am I running the risk of infertility or cancer?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks you for asking this question. I have undergone through your question. I understand your concern. Wait & watch strategy is adopted for ovarian cyst which is not causing any symptom because most functional ovarian cyst resolve spontaneously without any intervention.
Treatment of symptomatic ovarian cyst
1. medications
2. surgical removal of cyst

Medications like progesterone/danazol/contraceptive pills are taken under proper supervision of doctor. I think you should follow your doctor's suggestion as he/she is taking proper decision to wait & watch unless it causes any problem. Sometimes large ovarian cyst can cause infertility. Very rarely it turns into cancer but remember it is very rare. Don't worry.
Good luck
