Suggest Treatment For Cutaneous Abscess And Headache

Hi, my name is Currissa. I have a abcess on my buttock. I went to the doctor and they gave me some antibiotics and pain meds Saturday. Since then my condition is getting worse. The abcess is red around the area, and just look nasty. I have pain every where on my body. It is a soreness pain and a burning pain, also a severe headache.....what could be going on doc?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed furuncle.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
As there is lot of pain and discomfort headache might be related to this.
A photograph would have helped me better in diagnosing.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
