Suggest Treatment For Crossing Of Eyes Due To TIA

for the past year and a half my eyes have been crossing involuntarily. May be one or both eyes, I can t tell. It has lasted up to a day and a half. That particular time it started out bad but after about 6 hours is started slowly subsiding. Most times it last anywhere form 4hours to all day. My ophthalmologist found nothing. Several emergency room visits found nothing with CAT and follow up MRIS. Later an ER visit resulted in the physician stating it was most likely a TIA and recommended a follow up with a neurologist. He had another MRI done and stated there appeared damage from four TIAs but unknown when they may have occurred. My rheumatologist (I have Lupus) had two other neurologist exam me with both ordering MRIs stating they saw no indication of any TAIs. I have shorter episodes as well. Later on some episodes were triggered by sudden turns. There is no indication that an episode is going to occur. Had to drive over a hour with one eye closed, in the driving rain at night with a sudden episode came on. Not a safe drive for me, my passenger and other drivers.

Neurologist 's  Response
Dear patient,

a consideration is that you have been having TIA's in the brainstem. Another possibility is that you have a neuromuscular junction disorder, such as myasthenia gravis, interfering with the connection between nerves and your eye movement muscles.

Thank you.
