Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of either pneumonia or post infectious bronchitis is more in your case.
Both are common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) and show similar symptoms.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)
3. Chest x ray.
PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
Chest x ray is needed to rule pneumonia.
You may need antibiotic, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) according to the diagnosis.
Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
