Suggest Treatment For Cough, Runny Nose And Sore Throat
Hi, I had a fever with very sore throat on Monday evening. After 2 days the fever subsided but still very sore throat. I got a strep test yesterday which came back negative. As of today I have a cough, runny nose, still sore throat, and a couple white spots in the back of my throat (I don t have tonsils). Could this be something more than a viral infection?

It seems you are suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection and you need to take an antibiotic course.
Penicillin group of antibiotics work well in URTI. Also, start doing betadine gargles at least twice daily. Get yourself checked by an ENT if you are not relieved in a few days.
