Hi,

Your symptoms of cough, chest discomfort and difficulty breathing may be due to exposure to allergens or irritants in the unit, such as roach droppings or chemicals used for pest control. It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment.

Treatment options may include medication to relieve cough and chest discomfort, such as bronchodilators or corticosteroids, as well as allergy medications or desensitization therapy if allergies are suspected. In addition, it may be necessary to address the underlying cause of your symptoms by addressing the roach infestation and improving ventilation or air quality in the unit.

If you are having difficulty breathing or your symptoms are severe, it is important to seek emergency medical attention right away. Your healthcare provider can provide personalized recommendations for managing your symptoms and preventing future exposure to potential allergens or irritants.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
