Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a severe cough and fever on Jan first week of this year, then I visited doctor and he gave me four days of medicine. my cough got reduced after four days. but what my problem is i have dry cough daily throughout the day until today. what can i do. why i have this cough. your comments will appreciate.
I went through the history you have provided here. It seems from the history that you are having chronic cough after treatment with medicines for fever and cough for 4 days. Persistent cough can be because of allergy or because of chronic low grade infections. You can use cough suppressants like anti-tussive drugs for symptomatic relief.
Do consult your Physician doctor for examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful. Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you
