Suggest Treatment For Cough And Diarrhoea In An Infant
My 4 month granddaughter has had a cough and weezy breathing from 2 months - she's been prescribed antibiotics twice and the cough is still with her - she's had her first tooth - her mum says she has a running tummy about 7-8 times a day - any advice please
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
Noisy or wheezy breathing from 2 months of age could be a congenital airway anomaly - which doesn't not require treatment for wheeze. It will go off by itself in due time - at about 1.5 to 2.5 years.
A breast feeding baby is bound to pass 7-8 times motion per day. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
