Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Angioplasty
My mother underwent angioplasty stent a fortnight back and has been complaining of constipation since then. Since angioplasty she is on a no salt no oil/spice diet. She eats papaya regularly and walks a bit. the doctor has also prescribed her some medicine for relieving constipation but no comfort.

Constipation is normal after the surgery. After surgery, your mother should take a stool softener, such as docusate (Colace). A fibre laxative may also be helpful.
If they are not effective she may need enemas to produce a bowel movement.
