Suggest Treatment For Congestive Heart Failure And COPD

My husband, 76, has COPD, emphysema, congestive heart failure, afib, and hardening of the arteries. He had four cases of pneumonia last year as well as several hospitalizations for edema and his afib. What do you think his life expectancy might be, and is it possible to extend that, and how?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Life expectancy depends on the management of all disorders. It may not be possible to treat all the conditions completely, however, it is possible to manage all to avoid any complication arising from the conditions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri,
