Suggest Treatment For Colitis, Abdominal Pain And Constipation

I was in the hospital last month with sever stomach pain was diagnosed with colitis, and was put on two antibiotics one was cipro I went to my primary who told me to go to the gastro . I am now having constipation with pain in my stomach and back and can t get any relief unless I take stool softeners, this has been going on to long at least three weeks,I don t know what to do?h

Colitis refers to the inflammation of the large intestine. It may be amoebic, giardiasis origin or bacterial. In my opinion, antibiotics should not be used without clear-cut indication. It disturbs the bacterial flora. Prebiotics may be taken along with natural gut cleansers such as isapghula and bael.
