Hello,
Teething can be very distressing for a child but is generally not dangerous.
You may give your child a combination of Tylenol and Advil for better control of pain. Also, cool rubber toys for teething children to keep his gums cool may help with the pain.
He may also use teething gel that contains some local anesthetics.

If the child is not better or is not drinking well it is best to have him checked to make sure he is not dehydrated.

I hope I have answered your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
