Suggest Treatment For Colic In A Child While Teething
My 1 year old was screaming all night. I ve tried everything. he s teething but not acted like this before, gave him gripe water for gas, Advil for the teething pain, he doesnt have a good appetite lately. I couldn t console him when holding him. I m scared.
Hello, Teething can be very distressing for a child but is generally not dangerous. You may give your child a combination of Tylenol and Advil for better control of pain. Also, cool rubber toys for teething children to keep his gums cool may help with the pain. He may also use teething gel that contains some local anesthetics.
If the child is not better or is not drinking well it is best to have him checked to make sure he is not dehydrated.
I hope I have answered your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
