Suggest Treatment For Cold And Nasal Congestion In A Child

Hi I have a 10 week old baby and he s suffering from a cold and stuffy nose and the doctor give me asthalin syrup and Predcort syrup cuz the cold not coming true his nose he give me a drop to break up the cold to bring it down bt his cold not finishing???

Cold and nasal congestion signal a respiratory infection.Most of these infections are of viral origin and may need only symptomatic management.Bacteria infections are however possible.The symptoms could as well be caused by allergy.I will advise:
-Continue with asthalin and Predcord as these will make the child to breath better due to their bronchodilatory and antiinflammatory properties
-Avoid cold and other irritants like dust and smoke
-Let the child have enough fluids
If the problem persist, you will have to see the Doctor again for evaluation for him to judge the need for antibiotics.
