I recently was cleaning out my ears and now my right ear feels clogged. After looking online I tried the hydrogen peroxide wash but it s not helping. I m not starting to get slight headaches, hearing ringing sounds, & my hearing is a little muffled. Is this normal? And will it go away on it on it do I need to see a doctor?
Hi. It appears that you have impacted ear wax that has been pushed deeper into the ear canal (which is narrower) during your attempts to clean the ear.
The headache and ringing sensation is because of the stretch of the ear canal due to the wax leading to complete blockage of the ear canal.
It is recommended that you apply wax dissolving ear drops (3-5 drops) at night for about 5 days. Thus will make the wax soft and will make it easy for an ENT specialist to remove the wax easily. Do not insert ear buds to remove wax as that may push the wax deeper. Also avoid water entry in the ear ambit can make the wax swell.
See an ENT specialist after 5 days and have the ear wax removed.
Hoping for your speedy recovery.
