Suggest Treatment For Cirrhosis While On Oxycodone

was recently hospitalized due to very bad reaction when prescribed naltrexone (Vivitrol). I was on suboxone for 3 weeks because doctor took me off oxycodone for my current medical condition. I was diagnosed with hep-C 7 yrs ago. It took 4 treatments over the course of 5 yrs. due to the length of time I developed cirrhosis. Because of the complication and pain I was prescribed the oxycodone. I did not feel like the suboxone was working after 4 weeks. by the way the suboxone was 8mg/2. I called another clinic to try the naltrexone. he told me I had to be off the suboxone for at least 5 days, which I was. as soon as I took the vivitrol (50mg) after about an hour, thats when it all happened and had to call 911. was this doctor incorrect about the amount of time to be off the suboxone before taking the vivatrol? I did tell him I had Hep-c and that I had cirrhosis. thank you

Hi,

In my opinion, you should go for some blood test, CTC, and stool and urine test, to rule out infections and ulcers. If everything is negative than it would be functional and pain, nothing to worry about.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
