Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swollen and inflamed Circumvallate Papilla can give you a feeling of a hair or something lodged in throat and if it is seen during periods it can be due to Premenstural syndrome, which also leads to acid reflux due to more fall of tongue towards the throat due to reduced hormone levels and it leads to sucking up of acid from stomach to throat as there is creation of vaccum at the back of throat..
It can lead to irritation and enlargement of circrumvallate papillae..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can look for the exact cause and treat you accordingly..
You can be advised to do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl..
Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do cool water rinses and suck ice pops..
Avoid spicy and hot foods..
Avoid smoking, drinking and gargle with dilute solution of mouthwash..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
