Suggest Treatment For Chronic Tinnitus And Blockage In Ears
I have had tinnitus for many years and am used to it. Yesterday I woke up with a blocked ear and tinnitus was worse. I think it's blocked wax, tried to dislodge with warn water but didn't work. This morning I intended going to pharmacy to get drops but I blew my nose and it's bleeding. Should I go to the doc or try drops first, assume it's related. Thanks

As per your query you have problem of chronic tinnitus and blockage in ears. Tinnitus can be cause by many factors like stress , temporomandibular joint problem, eustachian tube dysfunction, wisdom tooth , cervical spondylosis and increase blood pressure . The most common problem related to tinnitus is hearing loss . You should avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection and Ménière's disease . Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , he/she may prescribe medicine like eprisone , sedative and antibiotics . For now drink green teat thrice a day and take proper rest .
