Suggest Treatment For Chronic Rosacea

I have been diagnosed with rosacea. I am allergic to sulfur drugs and titracycline as dermatologist tried these. I have had to go three years now without help and my Rosacea is out of control. My face hurts, skin peeling from chin to nose and cheeks, and bumps and big acne breakouts spreading to all over my face. Please, do I need to see a doctor, this is really effecting my self confidence e and ability to function in social settings. I am well over the age that acne and facial skin problems should be crippling me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You symptom seem to be related to rosacea.

I recommend using Metronidazole (Flagyl) as an oral medication.

I also recommend using Brimonidine (Mirvaso), a gel that tightens blood vessels in the skin to get rid of some of your redness.

These are prescribed medication so you should consult your doctor before the treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
