Suggest Treatment For Chronic Nose Bleeds

I have been having chronic nosebleeds that started last year. Since it was becoming more frequent and heavier, I went to Urgent Care in November and they cauterized it. It started up again last week heavier than before, so I went to ER on Thursday morning. They looked in my nose and just recommended that I see a ENT which I have an appointment scheduled for the 30th, however, Saturday it bleed several times on Saturday, so I went to Urgent Care again and asked them to cauterize it again since I can t get into see the ENT any sooner. I had the doctor do blood work when I was in ER, however, it revealed nothing. Although I ve been taking small dosage of Blood Pressure Meds for several years, my blood pressure is controllable. My concern now is might it be an aneurysm?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your history you r suffering from recurrent epistaxis along with hypertension.
it might be a nasal spur which often bleeds, but diagnosis can only be confirmed by a ENT specialist after examination.

So, i would suggest you to fix an appointment with a ENT specialist as soon as possible.

till then you should take care of your nose like

Not to scratch in your nose,
Not to blow hard your nose,
Take Antihypertensives regularly and get your blood pressure under control,

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Thanks
