Suggest Treatment For Chronic Neck Pain And Migraine

I have been thru hell the last 5 yrs doctoring trying to find an answer. Started with chronic neck pain, which gives me massive migraine in the back of the head with massive earaches. Told I had cervical facet syndrome, went to 3 yrs PT, OT, rehab appointments, chiropractic care... you name it I have been there. Went to SPinal Dr and said maybe Chiari Malformation. Had several MRI s in past. Did Brain scan for Chiari and was negative. He sent to me Neurologist that specializes in migraines. He said no facet syndrome but neck issues causing migraines so yet again, no answer. EMG, ENT Dr, MRI negative, brain scan and no answers. Is it possible it could be something completely different like a disease or syndrome of some kind? We have a referral out to Mayo CLinic but just wondering. Thanks...

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

How old are you? What is your x-ray cervical spine suggestive off? It may be a tension headache or a migrainous headache or a sinus headache or neck muscle spasm associated headache etc.

It may be a psychogenic headache. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Do yoga and meditation, use tablet Naxdom twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
