Suggest Treatment For Chronic Nausea When Diagnosed With COPD

my husband, 64, has COPD, diagnosed 5 years ago, even before that, would frequently vomit after coughing extensively. Now, he has nausea, coughing and vomiting at least 3 times a week. He smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day, and will not stop. Is there any natural substance, any food or drink, that could possible relieve some of these symptoms? He is on Spiriva and advair through his doctor, and takes these meds as prescribed. He is also on Vicodin 10/325, flexeril, clonazepam, buproprion, omeprazole, albuterol.
