Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough

i am living in bangalore for past 20 years. almost each year i develop cough which last around 1 to 2 months. Anti-biotics never work on me nor the cough syrup. Once the esnophil count was high. After that my recent blood report shows that esnophil count is in normal range.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. As you are having chronic cough first thing should is to rule out TB by doing a sputum AFB analysis and Chest X ray.If that is ok it is most likely allergic condition only. For such condition i advise my patients with inhaled beta agonist like formeterol and steroids like budesonide for long duration.I also give them antihistamine like levocetirizine and mast cell stabilzers like monteleukast as prophylactic for long term.Usually dust allergy is the main culprit.Vacuuming of your staying places will gives you relief from this to a great extent.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
