Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough

Good morning doctor My 9 yrs old daughter is having chronic cough for the last 3 months and sometimes there is also wheezling sound she has been prescribed with Ebast M 10 mg 1 tab daily at bedtime and metatrop nasal drop.She has mild temperature 99°F during evening time. Her blood report shows ESR at 37. Pl. guide me

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I appreciate your concern regarding your daughter. It appears that She is suffering from asthma. Fever can occur only if there is superadded infection. So I will suggest you to get complete haemogram to see for infection and a chest xray to see for pneumonia pr tuberculosis. You may also add tab doxiphylline. Steroids should be added once infection or tuberculosis is ruled out. I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Wish you a good health.
