General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of coughing for *1 month, took medicines but no relief; the blood report shows Platelet of 1,18- this is definitely low as normal is above 1.5.
The lymphocytes increased to 55 and chest report s normal as per your history.
I would advise you in such a situation the following:
Clinical evaluation and examination as only clinical examination, auscultation of the chest can tel us whether there is allergic bronchitis or asthma the commonest cause with normal X-ray of the chest.
If this is normal, take an opinion of an ENT Surgeon to see for the ENT causes like allergy, post-nasal drip and so on and a CT scan to rule out anything that the X-ray misses easily.
The treatment will then depend upon the findings and may comprise of oral steroids, antibiotics and antihistamine.
At the same time avoid all the food/beverages, fumes, dust, molds and mildews and scents to avoid irritation.
