Hi welcome to health care virtual clinic...
Noted you have
chronic cough and diagnosed pneumonia..
Do have done your chest x ray???
Usually in pneumonia it shows consolidation...
Mostly it will be bacterial ...
But sometime it might be viral
interstitial pneumonia or fungal cause.
If in x ray fungus ball seen then antifungal amphotericine like drug needed.
Antibiotic not effective in it...
so chest x ray needed..
If no pneumonia and brochoconstriction by bronchits or COPD or
asthma like cause suspected (as you have given inhaler) then pulmonary function test useful...
If cough troublesome codein or
dextromethorphan syrup given if cough dry.
If needed
sputum culture done for choosing proper antibiotic...
You can discuss all these to your treating physician ...
I can give these suggestion but your examination is very vital as by doctor by auscultation...
You can contact us for further advise....
