Suggest Treatment For Chills, Body Pain And Nausea
I recently had the flu for a week. The second week I still felt the chills and body aches. This whole two weeks I had not smoked any cigarettes. I also had my period the first week . I currently have the nexplanon which has expired this month for a full 3 years. I had unprotected sex back on September 3rd. However I also had a period soon after that. Right now I am experiencing extreme nausea. What could be going on?
Take Acetaminophen (tylenol) & antibiotics for chills & body pain under a PCP. You had unprotected intercourse in September, your Nexplanton had not expired by then. But you had flu, the efficacy of Nexplanton can get reduced due to drug interaction. Get physically examined to rule out the cause of nausea. Nausea is also a side effect of Nexplanton, stay away from anxiety.
Since your Nexplanton has expired get it removed at the earliest & go for some other birth control device/pill. Your nausea should get well after removal. You can take some anti-emetic to feel better.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
