Suggest Treatment For Chest Tightness And Palpitations

I've been having heart palpitations lately, along with a tight throat, a heavy chest, and white spots on the back of my throat. I have woken up a couple times from what seems to be a sort of apnea, and i have trouble getting to sleep because of the palpitations... i am constantly aware of the tightness in my chest and my throat.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to throat infection (considering the white spots).

For this reason, I recommend consulting with your attending physician as soon as possible for a physical exam and some tests (complete blood count, a throat bacterial culture, PCR, ESR).

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests. Antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
